Day 55 of lockdown, I called my friend today, who I take to football, He really must be bored! I've missed 19 calls from him since I last spoke to him (Tuesday, and today is Sunday!)
German Football started back yesterday, but who cares? League Two have decided to end the season without completing all the fixtures, just use the Points Per Game system to work out who would have finished where.
They want Promotion, for the top 3 that's fair, but then they go on about having the play-offs for the last place. If you are not playing, then you are not playing, surely. And of course they don't want anyone relegated down into the National League.
League One can't make it's mind up. You get the impression that most of the teams are quite happy to call it a day, but the teams that think they might miss out on promotion through the Play-Offs want to carry on. They meet again tomorrow, so we wait to see.
If we get promotion and no play-offs we should be ok.
Work is open again following the Governments announcement last Sunday about going back to work if you can, if you work outside (Which I think means, not in an office or shop).
So our office/admin staff have been busy these last few days trying to rustle up some work for us. Looking like it will all start up again for us next week, after the Bank Holiday.
We've got a list of Do's and Don'ts (Wearing gloves, masks, socially distancing and keeping doors and windows open! Not sure that we'll all be back, some for health reasons others because if there isn't enough work, they wont want to take people off of furlough unless they have to, you can't go back on it, and we don't want to have to cut jobs or hours.
Meanwhile the cleaning continues, the jobs list is actually shrinking (previously it seemed to grow longer every time a job was crossed off), not very quickly though, I might add.
I keep finding things to do that are not on the list and are a whole heap more interesting (like doing this).
My veggies are coming on. Potato plants are huge, looking like a good crop. Radishes are looking good. Lettuce and Beetroot are struggling, but we'll keep plugging away.
Sowed some tomato pips in some soil indoors, nothing! so then I've put some pepper seeds in there instead, I've got 8 plants that will soon need re-potting, watch this space!
Getting a bigger and bigger pile of stuff for the charity shop when it re-opens. First I went through my wardrobe and now my wife has had a gone through hers, then there's stuff that I've found when sorting out in the loft. I've even gotten around to uploading things for sale on Ebay, something I've been planning on doing for years.
My trouble is, I like the page to look just so. I like all the pages to look the same, looking like I've taken some interest and care when uploading, not just writing 6 words to describe to item. So each item takes ages and I don't get many done in a session.
But now I've started, I will probably get quite a lot done. I'm also taking the opportunity to listen to my cd's and albums, the one's that I don't listen to very often or haven't listened to in a long time.
